ABOUT
​
We are a not-for-profit sprint canoe/kayak paddling club based at the Rotary Sunshine Park on Healey's Pond in St. Philips. Sprint Canoe Kayak paddling is enjoyed by athletic youth who are looking to develop skills in a water sport that develops strength, endurance and speed on the water.. The sport offers the opportunity for athletes to compete at the Canada Games, regionally through Atlantic Division of CKC (www.adckc.ca), nationally through Canoe Kayak Canada (CKC) (www.canoekayak.ca) and internationally. Canada has had many Olympic athletes excel in the sprint canoe kayak sport.
OUR PROGRAM
The ACKNL volunteers have been making great progress towards the start of a Spring 2023 sprint paddling program. The program will focus on youth ages 14 and up with regular scheduled, on water training to develop sprint canoe and kayak paddling skills. Club training boats and paddles will be provided.
